3 fun facts S.L.J


1. It is one of the three countries in the world that has two official national anthems of equal standing.  


2.The maori name for nz is Aotearoa which means the land of the long white cloud.

3.Maori arrived in New Zealand, then known as The Land of the Long White Cloud, They mostly settled in the Northern parts of New Zealand as they were warmer. Maori were a deeply superstitious and religious people, believing in gods and the spirits of their ancestors

    yes The Māori are the indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand. Māori originated with settlers from eastern Polynesia, who arrived in New Zealand in several waves of canoe voyages some time between 1250 and 1300
