Well done for completing this SLJ activity, 'The Southern Lights' and for writing an acrostic poem using the letters 'LIGHTS'. Wow Emma, well done! I'm very impressed by the amount of effort you've put in to this poem. It's a beautiful piece of poetry and you should be proud of what you've created here. I really like that you've used 'luminous'— what a marvellous word, isn't it? And that's exactly what the lights do in the sky, they illuminate. I appreciate the last two lines as well: "timing at midnight, shining bright in the night".
Don't forget Emma, you can add images and colour (especially to this one!) to help this post to stand out. I'm going to save this post all the same, it is particularly good and deserves to be shared on my Google + profile! I hope you don't mind :)
