Forest life S.L.J

THE Tāne MAHUTA
I would like to visit the Tāne Mahuta because it's the largest and longest liv ing forest life, at my school we (the senior students) have hubs now they are room's togeather it took so long the biggest hub was called the kauri hub but i'm in the kahikatea hub they are both named after trees also, i've never seen a Tāne Mahuta before and i would like to . I like nture to so i would like to visit it to see what ways people can help the kauri dieback.
And those are my reasons why i would like to see the Tāne Mahuta.

  1. Good morning, Emma!

So great to see you pushing your way through the Summer Learning Journey programme, well done! Thanks for completing this activity, 'Giants Among Us' and for telling us whether you would like to visit Tāne Mahuta. I'm pleased to read that yes, you would like to see this epic kauri tree. Did you know that Tāne Mahuta is an atua (a Māori god)? Tāne is responsible for the forests including everything that dwells within them, including the trees and the birds. What do you mean when you say that you like nature, so you would like to visit Tāne Mahuta to help the kauri 'dieback'?

I look forward to your response!

    Cheers,

    Jordan
